Our handmade rustic furniture is created from driftwood, found on the beaches, and in the rivers and streams of the North eastern United States, and
native hardwoods from the Forests and Mills of New England.
We design each piece individually, drawing inspiration from the shape and grain of the wood, mortised and tenoned, and doweled, sanded, and finished with several coats of tung and teak oil to protect and preserve, and render the furniture water resistant. When appropriate we retain the natural textures on the wood such as old sawmill marks and beavers teeth.
Paintings are coated with outdoor polyiurethane containing a UV shield to prevent fading.
Handmade in New England, our rustic furniture is equally at home in the country or city, be it in mountain cabins, forest lodges, beach cottages, suburban houses, or even in city apartments. It is constructed to last and and be handed down to the next generation.
Each painting is original and unique, with subjects portraying wildlife or botanical scenes. From Black Bears to Piping Plovers, Striped Bass to Blue Crabs, Autumn Leaves to Summer Flowers whatever walks, swims, flys, or grows, it can be found decorating our pieces.
This web site shows samples of a variety of styles, but as each piece of wood is different each will be distinctly yours.
